DONATE

Donors are the fuel of Bakanal de Afrique. Without you, we lose steam.

BdA is a project of Afro Urban Society (AUS), an incubator and presenter of Afro-Urban performing and visual arts, culture, media, and social discourse. We are dedicated to building an ecosystem of emerging Afro-descent creatives and catalyzing their professional and economic progress through year-round public programming, fellowships & residencies, live productions, exhibitions, publications, our biennial Bakanal de Afrique Festival, and more.

You can keep the energy of BdA/AUS by becoming a Member or making a one-time donation today. Members commit to giving monthly, quarterly or yearly, and are eligible for exclusive perks. By choosing to sustain us in this way you also join a community of other art advocates, trailblazers, and game changers who are helping us grow and address the structural barriers and inequities faced by Black artists and creatives globally.

Help  Bakanal de Afrique Move!

Support Bakanal de Afrique/Afro Urban Society today with a monthly, quarterly or yearly recurring, or one-time donation of any size.

Intern

Interns are the backseat drivers of Bakanal de Afrique. Without you, we miss the bumps and holes in the road.

BdA Interns are part of the BdA family, serving as ambassadors, facilitating various aspects of the festival’s  administrative, creative, and engagement endeavors along with other collaborators including artists, venues, volunteers, technical crew, partners, and attendees.

Our internships are ideal for a person looking for experience working in a small non-traditional yet professional arts and culture non-profit setting (remotely or on-ground based on events and internship area); no prior experience is required/necessary. Our internships are designed to ensure a rewarding and educational work experience while benefiting the needs of the organization. Scheduling can be flexible based on the needs of the Intern in alignment with the required deliverables and timelines of the organization.
