'ɛhyɛn | in the ship' attempts to explore the memories of Africans who were captured between the 15th and 19th centuries while they lay in the floating ships. Though their cultural and traditional activities were severed from them, their minds still flooded with images of their political, social, and ritual activities. They knew where they came from, but they didn’t know where they were going. Yet, they were strong.
